Uric acid is produced during the breakdown of a chemical called purine.

So foods which are high in uric acid are the same foods with high purine content which includes:-

  • wild game, such as deer.
  • trout, tuna, haddock, sardines and anchovies.
  • excess alcohol.
  • high-fat foods, dairy products, and red meat.
  • organ meats as liver.
  • sugary foods.
