Yes, William Bradford was a British politician, a puritanist separatist, whose origin was in the English county of (West Riding of Yorkshire) in the north of England. He fled to Leiden in the Netherlands to escape persecution practiced by the king of England at the time, James I, after which he emigrated to the colony of "Plymouth" in 1620.
