The declaration of independence was written to prove to all foreign nations that American colonies should separate from Great Britain and have the full authority of their country.

The Declaration of Independence was written to persuade Congress to requested independence from Britain. Else town and colonial sets were writing such as appeals. They urged that the colonies should be independent from relations to the Crown. As a result Congress  make a five-member commission to write a more elaborate public declaration .
