Christopher Scarver was in jail for killing his supervisor, Steven Lohman, on June 1, 1990. Scarver returned to the office after being fired and confronted site manager John Feyen and supervisor Steven Lohman for payment. When he was only given $15, he killed Lohman by shooting him in the head. In 1992, Scarver was transferred to the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage after receiving a life sentence for the murder.
