Chills without a fever can be caused on by exposure to cold weather, strenuous exercise, or specific medical disorders. The underlying reason determines the course of treatment. The fast interchange of muscular contractions and relaxants causes chills (shivering).

You may have COVID-19 without a fever, especially in the first few asymptomatic days although fever is a common symptom of this virus.
