The movie For whom the bell tolls is about
Robert Jordan, an American language tutor who had previously resided in Spain, who fights in the International Paramilitary forces against Francisco Franco's army during the Spanish Civil War. Jordan, a skilled dynamiter, is given the task of infiltrating enemy territory and using a team of regional anti-fascist rebels to damage a crucial bridge. To stop enemy soldiers from crossing the bridge in response to an impending onslaught against the fascists, the bridge must be destroyed.
