Yes, train prices have gone up

Following what the government termed "its biggest ever measure" to keep the cost of travel below inflationary levels, rail fares in England have increased by up to 5.9% in March.

Regulated rail fares have risen less than inflation for the initial time in more than 25 years. The biggest increase in train fares in ten years will start to take effect on March 5.
