You shouldn't cut grass in the following situations:

  • When it's wet, frozen, or covered with ice, frost or snow as it can harm the soil and lead to fungal diseases.
  • When it's too dry.
  • When the grass is too short or below 3.5 inches or too long or more than one-third of its height.
  • When the temperature is too low (below 4 degrees Celsius) or too high (above 30 degrees Celsius).
  • When the grass is newly seeded.
  • When your blades are dull.
