Yes, lilies, particularly true lilies and daylily families, are poisonous to cats because they contain toxins. If a cat consumes lilies, the toxin found in lilies attacks the kidneys of cats aggressively. In fact, after ingesting the toxin, a cat can develop renal failure in as little as 24 hours.
