How syphilis cause abortion

It is a disease transmitted through the mother, which is a pulling spiral germ that may cause serious damage to the fetus, including abortion after the third month. A normal child may be born, but symptoms of the disease appear after a period of birth.

This disease is transmitted from mother to fetus in two ways:

 1- Transfer through the blood circulation from the mother to the placenta, then to the fetus.

 2- Transmission directly during childbirth; Where the bacteria are transferred from the sores that affect the reproductive system of a pregnant woman, and then to the fetus.
