World War I began with many events. Historians say that the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in 1914 was the fuel of the battle, in addition to many other reasons, including the Balkan Wars, Austria-Hungary’s annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Franco-Russian alliance.
