Bluto is not aplanet because, Scientists set standards for the planets namely. The planet is on a path around the sun. 2. That it possesses sufficient mass to enable it to maintain hydrostatic equilibrium (semi-spherical shape). 3. Get rid of the objects adjacent to its orbit. Pluto has two criteria, but the last one is not available Pluto's small mass does not give it enough gravity to dominate its surroundings, or pave the way for its orbit, as Pluto's orbit is somewhat untidy.
