To qualify as an counsellor you should requires fully seven years, with extra time needed for accreditation by an administering body. The typical course is a three-year college degree followed by a master degree, trailed by a doctorate certificate.
And also you have to do an extra 450 hours of suprvised customer work to be listed in your academic qualifications if you want to be accredited with the IACP. The major of pepole need around two and five years to achieved that.You should know how to appreciate people and their issues and make sure if you are giving the right therapy , so you need to assess your work if it  success to reduce stress and help to make a better life. You should to use evidence-based therapies.
