The skeletal system has several functions including :

1.skeletal system provides support for the body.

2.Protecting internal organs from injury.

3.Allowing the body to move in many different ways as muscles attach to bones through tendons.

4.Producing blood cells : the bone marrow inside of many bones produces red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.

5.Storing minerals and nutrients : bones can store and release minerals including calcium and phosphorus.
