Electricity was invented by the Russian electrical engineer Alexander Nikolayevich Lodygin who was one of the inventors of the incandescent light bulb and the American inventor, entrepreneur and industrialist Harvey Hubbell II who invented the U.S. electrical plug and the pull-chain light socket.
