Forensic toxicology was invented in the nineteenth century. The first record of forensic toxicology was made in 1814 with the writing of the book “Traite Des Poisons” by the Spanish chemist Mathieu Orfila and in 1836, the chemist Albert Swain wrote “Elements of Medical Jurisprudence,” a book that listed the first theories of forensic toxicology.
